Gilles Lamiré won the 14th edition of the prestigious Transat Jacques Vabre in the Multi 50 category.
A former IPAG graduate in 1994, Gilles Lamiré and his team-mate Antoine Carpentier spent just over 11 days and 16 hours on the Atlantic at an average speed of 15.50 knots, between Le Havre and Salvador de Bahia (Brazil). Aboard their trimaran "Groupe GCA-Mille et un sourires", they covered 4926 miles before being able to celebrate Gilles Lamiré's first victory in this competition - the latter was already counting on a renowned victory in the English Transat in 2016.
Skipper but also business leader, Gilles Lamiré agreed to look back over his career from IPAG to the podium in the Transat Jacques Vabre.
