Vocational training allows employees to train alongside their jobs. It aims to give employees the opportunity to acquire new skills in order to develop or change careers. Are you wondering whether you have any vocational training rights? How can you use them to train? What training courses are available and under what conditions? How can you use your CPF? Which organisations are able to finance professional training? Discover all the answers to your questions in our complete educational file.
Professional training or continuing education is a right enshrined in the Labour Code. The objectives of vocational training are to enable each person in employment or who has accumulated rights to acquire new knowledge or develop their skills.
There are many organisations that can finance vocational training, provided you have acquired the necessary rights:
Have you heard about the personal training account, but don't quite understand how it works? We take a look at how you can benefit from your rights and under what conditions.
The CPF is valued in euros and is funded by €500 per year for any part-time or full-time activity. It cannot exceed €5 000 in entitlements. People with no more than a level 3 education, such as a CAP or BEP, can receive up to €800 of training per year, up to a total of €8,000.
Are you ready to use your personal training account and choose your professional training? There are many options available to you. There are a multitude of sectors of activity (hotels, management, secretarial work, digital, IT, food, handling, machine driving, languages, early childhood, crafts, education, banking, sales, personal services, commerce, etc.) that offer training leading to qualifications or diplomas that can be financed with your CPF. These training courses can take place in person, in a training centre, at a distance, on the premises of a training organisation with other employees from several companies, or on your company's premises.
You can find the adult training you need to enter working life or to take up a new job on the Moncompteformation.gouv.fr website. Click on 'find vocational training', then refine your search using the filters in just a few clicks. It is possible that the total cost of your training, or only part of it, will be covered by your CPF. It is possible to apply to Pôle Emploi or your employer to finance the difference (you can also pay for it yourself). Validate your application and wait. If your application is validated, you can start your training!
We recommend that you always consult your employer before starting your training, as his or her agreement is necessary for any training undertaken during your working hours. The company will then be obliged to respond to you within a specific period of time, formulated by decree, and the absence of a response is equivalent to acceptance.
