The new urban agriculture project in Romainville will emerge with the finalisation of the Tour Maraîchère project at the end of 2019. The IPAG Business School supports this project for marketing and logistics.
While the massive use of fossil fuels, deforestation, intensive livestock and agriculture continue to produce large amounts of greenhouse gases and accelerate global warming, local communities take the measure of ecological urgency.
Romainville, located three kilometers from the French capital, in the department of Seine-Saint-Denis, wishes with this new project Tour Maraîchère, respond to environmental and social issues through a forward-looking approach. By opening new doors to wider reflections such as urban resilience, the city provides access to quality local food products while developing residents' skills and promoting job creation.
Located in the heart of the Marcel-Cachin district, completely requalified from 2007 to 2017 as part of a vast program of urban renewal supported by the National Agency for Urban Renewal (Anru), the Tour Maraîchère project will be located on a plot of 600m².
Dedicated to urban agriculture, this project aims to combine in a single place multiple complementary activities:
In the same way as AgroParisTeach, IPAG Business School is involved in this project by accompanying this urban agriculture project and by participating in calls for proposals of European funding.
