The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), better known as the Shanghai ranking list, is one of the most renowned international ranking lists in academic circles. A few weeks before the release of the general ranking, its thematic ranking list rewards the research performance of higher education institutions around the world.

For the 5th consecutive year, IPAG has confirmed its rank by maintaining its place in the Top 300 in the "Economics" category, one of the themes where international competition is most intense. In 2021, the first three places were awarded to the University of Chicago, Harvard and MIT. As for IPAG, it is now in the Top 10 of French institutions and has climbed to the second step of the podium of the best Business Schools in France in terms of research in Economics.

This ranking recognises the work of our research laboratory headed by Frédéric Teulon. We are proud to contribute to the influence of France and its attractiveness through this ranking, which arouses the interest of students, researchers and international investors.
