IPAG Business School at the summit of Europe: when two students take on the Mont-Blanc challenge!
28 May 2025
APEX60 Project !
At IPAG Business School, student projects are taking on new heights - literally! This summer, Evie and Titouan will be climbing Mont Blanc to celebrate their school's 60th anniversary, as part of their APEX60 project.
An educational approach
Convinced that sport is a vehicle for raising awareness, the two students ran workshops around the Fresque de l'Alpinisme and organised a conference in March entitled ‘Towards more responsible mountain sport’, which was attended by :
Antoine de Suremain, the adventurer and presenter with 161,000 followers on Instagram and better known as @antoineexplorelafrance,
Maxime Mergalet (@maxime.mergalet), explorer, adventurer and photographer in extreme environments,
Christophe Cordonnier, founder of the Lagoped brand (@lagoped_).
The aim is to share good practice in the mountains and highlight sustainable initiatives.
The event is being organised in conjunction with the Ipag Green Association (@ipag.green) and Vital'Ipag, the IPAG Business School Health Centre, which offers health and well-being support to IPAG students throughout the year through events and a wide network of partners.
Demanding, progressive physical preparation
Reaching the 4,809m summit of Mont Blanc is no easy feat. To achieve their goal, Evie and Titouan have been following a rigorous physical preparation programme for several months, combining running, hiking, climbing and muscle strengthening.
A physical challenge, but also a mental one
As well as the physical aspect, the preparation includes mental work. Dealing with commitment in an extreme environment, fatigue and uncertainty are all part and parcel of the challenge they are about to take on.
