IPAG Business School’s BBA Programme Granted State Recognition (Visa)

The BBA programme at IPAG Business School has reached a major new milestone in the recognition of the quality of its academic offerings. The programme has received a positive opinion from the CEFDG*, paving the way for the awarding of the State Visa by the French Ministry of Higher Education.

This State Visa applies to the BBA programme delivered on the Paris and Nice campuses and confirms the programme’s high academic standards, pedagogical quality and strong international orientation.

Key strengths recognised by the commission

In its assessment, the commission particularly highlighted several structural strengths of IPAG’s BBA programme:

  • A programme fully taught in English, in line with international standards
  • Four active international double-degree partnerships, enhancing student mobility and employability
  • A highly qualified faculty with strong links to research, ensuring academic excellence
  • A strong international focus, at the core of the School’s educational model

An additional recognition as Parcoursup opens

As Parcoursup opens, this new recognition represents a further guarantee of academic excellence and international attractiveness for IPAG Business School.

It is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the quality and recognition of the School’s programmes, following, in 2025:

  • the achievement of AACSB accreditation,
  • the renewal of the Master’s Degree Grade for the Grande École Programme,
  • the awarding of the Bachelor’s Degree Grade and the extension of the State Visa, previously granted in Paris, to the Nice and Thionville-Luxembourg campuses for the Bachelor in Management programme.

This decision reflects the confidence of academic authorities, as well as that of students and partner organisations, and recognises the commitment of all IPAG teams to student success and graduate employability.

What is the State Visa and what does it guarantee?

The State Visa is an official recognition granted by the French Ministry of Higher Education to programmes that meet high academic standards.

It certifies, in particular, the quality of the educational framework, the coherence of the curriculum, the qualifications of the faculty, the alignment with national and international standards, and the graduate employability outcomes.

For students and their families, the State Visa is a key guarantee of the programme’s credibility, clarity and academic rigour, recognised across the higher education ecosystem and by employers, both in France and internationally.

The three stages in the awarding of a State Visa

  • The CEFDG evaluates the programme and issues an opinion
  • The CNESER (National Council for Higher Education and Research) is then consulted and delivers its opinion
  • The Ministry publishes the official decree, which formally grants the State Visa

*Positive opinion issued by the CEFDG, subject to validation by the CNESER and the official publication of the ministerial decree confirming this opinion.
