What is video protection?
As part of its policy of risk prevention, protection and security of goods and people, IPAG has set up cameras around its premises.
This video protection system is one of the elements of response to possible disturbances taking place outside the IPAG premises: these surveillance cameras are intended for the safety of students, goods and people.
The video protection system deployed by IPAG aims to guarantee the safety of people (students, staff, contributors, visitors) and to prevent damage to property outside the premises.
In this context, the legal basis for this processing is IPAG's legitimate interest in protecting the safety of people and property outside the premises.
Information boards indicating the presence of urban protection cameras are placed at each entrance of the premises.
There is no video protection system on the Saint Germain sites.
What is video surveillance?

This video surveillance system is one of the elements of the response to monitor the interior of the premises and ensure the safety of people. It is specified that the cameras are placed in such a way that the professional and personal/private activities of the persons cannot be filmed.
The video surveillance system deployed by IPAG aims to guarantee the safety of people (students, staff, contributors, visitors) and to prevent damage to property inside the premises.
In this context, the legal basis for this processing is IPAG's legitimate interest in protecting the safety of people and property inside the premises.
Information signs indicating the presence of urban protection cameras are placed in a visible place near the cameras.
The video surveillance system currently deployed comprises a total of 16 cameras, the images of which are transferred to a server in the computer room on the 4th floor of 184 Bd Saint Germain.
Who has access to your data?
The video surveillance system records images of any person present on the sites placed under video surveillance.
The persons likely to have access to the video protection and video surveillance images are
- General Services, the General Manager, the Police
How long is your data kept?
Your data is kept for 30 days.
In the event of an incident, the video surveillance images may nevertheless be extracted from the system. They are then kept on another medium for the time needed to settle the procedures linked to this incident, and are only accessible to authorised persons in this context.
What are your rights regarding your data?
You have a right of access, rectification and deletion as well as a right to limit the processing.
You may also object at any time, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data.
When your images from video protection cameras are collected by IPAG to guarantee the safety of persons and to prevent damage to property:
- you have the right to object at any time, for reasons relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data;
- you may also formulate general or specific directives concerning the conservation, deletion and communication of your post-mortem data.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Commission for Data Processing and Liberties.
The legal regime of video surveillance is governed by the Code of Internal Security, whereas the legal regime of video surveillance is governed by the RGPD.
