Less well-known than the bachelor’s degree, the BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) can also be taken at business schools.
In three or four years following secondary school, it teaches students the basics of company management in a multicultural environment.
Are you planning an international career? Find out what openings will be available to you following a BBA.
The strength of the BBA lies in its resolutely international focus. Unlike other courses, like university degrees, the majority of classes are taught in English.
In addition to language learning, you can therefore grasp all the basics of business in a multicultural context. The teachers systematically look at ideas and case studies through an international lens. For example, in the negotiation class, you will learn how to take local customs into account to achieve your aim.
The BBA almost always includes an overseas stay (international semester; work experience abroad). In the vast majority of cases, you also have the option to earn a dual international degree with a partner university or school in a different country.
The course’s international outlook and the opportunity to build an overseas network will naturally steer students towards an international career following graduation.
The BBA leads to a degree and prepares students for the world of work. It comprises a general international business foundation, which is laid during the first two years, and specialised modules that you can choose to personalise your learning path.
After graduating, students who so wish can enter the world of work and apply for positions overseas or in an international environment:
You can use resources offered by the school (including the Career Centre and Alumni Network) to find job opportunities.
The BBA also prepares students for entrepreneurship. Over the three years of the course, you will develop comprehensive managerial skills and a global vision of companies (including marketing, business development, HR, finance, and so on). This will give you all the keys you need to create your own business in France or overseas.
Following the BBA, you can also choose to continue your studies to masters level with an MBA.
The BBA provides opportunities to specialise. However, it may be that you want to further develop your knowledge in your chosen area of specialisation or, alternatively, focus on a different area following your work experience.
Continuing your studies with an MBA gives you more time to mature your career plans and develop new skills (particularly soft skills), as you gain new experiences and expand your network.
With a masters-level degree, you will further improve your employability all over the world.
By choosing a BBA after leaving secondary school, you will be learning professional skills and working towards a degree that opens doors to an international career.
Following graduation, you can either join the world of work directly or continue studying for an MBA.
