Presentation

This short and professional programme will enable you to prepare for the national examination for the Brevet de Technicien Supérieur (BTS).

IPAG offers 5 specialisations of which 2 are in Paris and 5 in Nice: Communication (Nice), International Trade (Nice), Real Estate (Nice), Operational Sales Management  (Paris and Nice), Management of Small (Paris and Nice).

After graduating with a Bac+2 degree, you will be ready to enter the job market, but you can also choose to continue your studies with a specialised Bachelor's degree.

Specialisations

Communication (Nice)
You will learn how to design and implement communication operations of all kinds (advertising, events, customer relations, etc.), whether in a company, a public body or a specialist agency. You will also assimilate the legal and economic foundations and cultural references required for your future profession. Finally, you will be trained in the use of essential media creation software: Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.

International commerce (Nice)
You will study the main principles of international trade and law, and learn how to keep a constant watch on foreign markets, how to prospect for buyers and sellers, and how to negotiate with foreign contacts in a multicultural environment. This 'common European reference' BTS is now available in 8 other countries: Spain, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia and Switzerland. Designed to meet the needs of the European market and recognised internationally, it offers numerous career opportunities abroad.

Real Estate Professions (Nice)
This course will enable you to become a professional in real estate-related services, whether in an agency, a property management firm, a social housing organisation or a development-construction company. You will also study the techniques specific to the sector in terms of property transactions (advice, intermediation between seller/landlord and buyer/tenant) and property management (administration of different types of property).

 

Once you have obtained your diploma, you will be eligible to obtain three professional cards that are essential for certain professions: the S card (Syndic), which allows you to open.These are the S (Syndic) card, which allows you to open an estate agency or a syndic's office, the G (Gestion) card for rental management and the T (Transaction) card.

Operational sales management (Paris & Nice)
This specialised BTS prepares you to take charge of a small sales unit at the start of your career, or a larger one after a few years' experience: a shop, supermarket, sales agency, e-commerce site, etc. During your course, you will study the basics of marketing, economics and management before specialising in customer relations and sales management.

SME Management (Paris & Nice)
This BTS prepares you to perform the administrative and commercial functions essential to the smooth running of a small or medium-sized business: economic and managerial culture, customer and supplier relations, risk management, personnel management and communication. On completion of the course, you will be eligible for positions such as sales assistant, management assistant or executive assistant.

1st Year

During your BTS you will have access to courses taught by an excellent teaching staff made up of working professionals and leading lecturers. You will also have the opportunity to gain work experience through a sandwich course or compulsory work placement every year until you are hired for the first time.

Business Games

During your welcome week, a 3-day Business Game is organised to give you a practical turn as soon as you arrive at IPAG.

Preparatory workshop for professional integration

Organised by the Career Center, the Starting Blocks seminar prepares you to enter the job market as smoothly as possible. You take part in several workshops: drawing up a CV, writing a pitch mail, preparing for an interview, etc.

Trade roundtables

IPAG regularly organises Trade Roundtables, which give you the opportunity to meet professionals from different sectors of the specialisations offered by the school... an opportunity to exchange and feed your thoughts on your future career path.

 

2nd year

At the completion of your BTS, you will obtain a State diploma at bac +2 level, which will open the doors to the job market, but it also offers many opportunities for further study thanks to its gateways to other programmes and the 120 ECTS credits acquired at the end of the course. This is the ideal preparation for continuing your studies in a Bachelor's degree or, possibly, in a Grande Ecole programme.

BTS mock exam

To prepare you for the national examination, mock BTSs are regularly organised at IPAG. These written and oral training sessions in the 1st and 2nd year allow you to present yourself on the D-day with complete peace of mind. A method which has proved its worth in view of the exceptional results of IPAG students at the BTS examination.

Entrepreneurship as an option

This module is intended for all students who have a business creation project or who wish to acquire skills in business management and leadership. It is the subject of 48 hours of specific courses in the first year.

Although the BTS is not international in nature, it nevertheless offers several opportunities.

 

A multicultural environment

On the Paris and Nice campuses, you work in a multicultural environment, alongside students from all over the world. In addition, around 20% of the courses are taught by international professors.

Up to three modern languages

During your studies, have the opportunity to study up to three languages among English, German, Spanish and Italian. LV1 - English (advanced level) - is compulsory, LV2 - German, Italian or Spanish (intermediate or advanced level) - is optional as for LV3 - Chinese or Russian (beginner level).

Work-study Option

Work-study programmes are possible during the two years of the BTS, which allows you to have your studies financed by the company that recruits you on an apprenticeship or professional training contract.

1st year

  • Holders of a French diploma via Parcoursup on the basis of an application file
  • Holders of foreign diplomas: application + MCQ test + interview in French

Composition of the application file: Three most recent school reports / most recent diploma(s) or examination transcript(s) / proof of identity / curriculum vitae (CV) / covering letter / proof of B2-level French language proficiency test for holders of a foreign diploma.
